A Note About CERF: The Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF) functions to assist dog breeders reduce inherited eye diseases. Eye examinations are performed by certified veterinary ophthalmologists. These examinations are recommended for any purebred dogs, even if not intended for breeding. These exams may be scheduled as regular appointments or during "CERF eye screening" clinics at which multiple dogs can be screened for inherited eye diseases.
